USING THE RATCHET-ACTION CUTTING MECHANISM
1. Place the branch half-way or deeper in the jaw
2. Squeeze the handles together until you feel a definite stop
3. Open the handles a little until the ratchet pin clicks to the next notch
4. Repeat ‘Squeeze/Open” until the branch has been cut through
It should take a maximum of four squeezes to cut a branch. Smaller branches can be cut at the tip of the jaw; bigger branches should be pushed deeper into the jaw to engage the ratchet-action
